Big Fun Under the Big Top

And then it began to rain. The following are photos from the rainy period. You can tell that we didn't let the weather get in the way of our FUN!















We got wet. We wore rain ponchos & carried umbrellas. The bridge washed out & we ran out of water for two hours. But we were saved by community. We were saved by plastic tipi liners that kept us dry at night & plastic bags in our shoes during the day. Most camp classes continued under the dry roof of the "Big Top". We rented a propane heater which kept us warm & could dry peoples' shoes. The motto was "Pajama party in the Big Top, you are all invited!" We had a film festival Thursday night, a swinging dance party Friday night & a cabaret casino on Saturday night, all in the Big Top. The weather was reluctant, but the campers & staff of Camp Winnarainbow for Adults were incredible. We had big fun under the Big Top - adversity on the outside & the beauty of community on the inside.
